General Info

Camp students should plan to bring instruments with them to camp. If you do not have your own instrument, we suggest you speak to your school band director about borrowing one.  If you have trouble borrowing equipment, you must let us know as far in advance of camp week as possible by contacting us at info@joesjazzcamp.com.

Winds

  • Instrument(s)
  • Pencil

Drummers

  • 4 Piece Drum set consisting of: bass drum, one mounted tom, one floor tom, snare drum
  • Hi Hat stand, snare drum stand, bass drum pedal, at least two cymbal stands, at least one boom, a throne, floor tom legs, tom mounting hardware and any associated parts
  • Ride cymbal, crash cymbal, pair of hi hat cymbals
  • a low pile rug large enough for the drum set and throne
  • a stick bag containing: sticks, one pair Vic Firth 5A or similar, one pair Vic Firth MJC2 or similar, one pair of Vic Firth Heritage Brushes or Split Brush or similar, Vic Firth T2 Cartwheel mallets or similar
  • a note book and PENCIL
  • it is HIGHLY suggested to use painter's tape (and ONLY painter's tape) on each piece of personal gear labeled with the students name

Because our meals are donated by sponsors, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to  accommodate those students with special dietary concerns. We will always do our best to find out & advise our students about lunches that may contain common food allergens.
